3 Ways To Be a More Efficient Blogger

Creative Writing with the Crimson League

1165446_blog_1 There are so many ways blogging can help us develop as an author , as well as build an audience. It is important for creative writers to blog, but blogging can sometimes be stressful and frustrating, as well as a major time-suck if we’re not careful.

So, how can we authors make sure we are efficient bloggers? I have picked up a number of tips on this topic over the last two years, as well as built up lots of experience blogging. Here are some things I’ve learned about blogging efficiently:

1. HAVE A BLOGGING SCHEDULE: NOT JUST FOR WHEN YOU PUBLISH, BUT WHEN YOU WRITE POSTS.

I publish Sundays and Wednesdays here at crimsonleague.com. I also write new posts on Sundays and Wednesdays, but do you know what makes my schedule really work for me?

  • I write on Sundays for the following Wednesday.
  • I write on Wednesdays for the…

If Writing Is Not Your Day Job, Are You Still a Writer?

Waiting Outside of Parnassus

At what point is one allowed to call oneself a writer is a question that I’ve spent far too much time contemplating. When I was younger, I would shy away from calling myself a writer because my writing wasn’t serious, wasn’t good, wasn’t published, wasn’t published in a paying magazine, and myriad of other reasons. I now say that the only thing that makes a person a writer is that they write (something I’ve heard a lot of other people say for a long time before I accepted its obvious truth). As long as I spend a good portion of my time getting words on the page, I am a writer. Maybe not a good one, a successful one or any other qualifier, but I am inarguably a writer, though there is always a little (or huge) part of me that doesn’t think I can call myself one. Part of the…

The Illuminati | The Worlds Worst Secret

Tall. Black. One Sugar

You know I am always fascinated about those who talk about the Illuminati. Who are these dudes? What influence do they have on the world? Why are so many people obsessed with from having them on watch to appearing to be vigilant on our behalf.

Without any embarassment I have previously bought into a number of theories attributed to them and the new world order. Whether previously in church or as a general discussion with others who really love conspiracy theories.  When I go to schools and colleges and deliver speaking and listening programmes to students this subject almost always rares its head. Whether it’s talk about the rampant symbolism from most of todays most popular music artists to conspiracy theories around the moon landing, presidents in the US to film, TV and almost all influential media. Some of the most prevalent images is that sparks these conversations are like the…

Christians Worship a False God

Image

Love Thy Neighbor’ Has Been Forgotten in Most Churches in America

Many Christians are unaware that they are serving a false God. The God that they serve is not the God of the Bible, the Lord of the Old and New Testament. It is an Idol. An Ideal. This American god promises to bring in prosperity, fame an the “ideal” life.

Worshiping the American Idol

Do not make idols or set up an image or a sacred stone for yourselves, and do not place a carved stone in your land to bow down before it. I am the Lord your God.(Leviticus 26:1 )

It’s not a coincidence that one of the most groundbreaking shows and hugely successful phenomenon in the U.S. was American Idol. Weekly viewers tuned in to pick the next person worthy to be worshiped. What made this show so unique was that instead of someone else telling us who we should aspire to be like, we as a people, collectively could vote and make the decision for ourselves.
